The western part of line 1 and 4 are rather classified into LRT. It has overhead power supplying system, comparing to the third-rail system in other lines. Trains change the source of the electricity in the juction stations. Series 2000 and 1300 are used in these lines.
Series 1000 in Oslo subway is the oldest stock being used in 2006. It is almost the same as series 1300, but door positions, cabin designs and electeric collection are different. In 2006, these series were main force in line 2 and 3, but gradually taking turns to series 3000.
Series 3000 are the newest stock in Oslo subway, put into service from 2006. One trainset consists of 3 cars. The body is made of alminum, colored in white and silver. Although color schema are simple, many unique features can be found, such as the shape of door glasses. It will take turns of series 1000 in a few years.
In the center of Oslo, there are only 2 tram lines, but they are spread both in the western and eastern side. SL95 is low-floor style with dual-headed, and SL79 is high floor and single-headed. Because of the mountainuous land and narrow roads, some lines take tricky routes.
NSB takes charge of most trains in Norway. Many rolling stocks are completely identical to other country's train, but El18 is designed in Switzerland and used in many countries. Since 2004, Linx connected Norway and Sweden, but now the line is split at Göteborg.
