X1 is the oldest train set in SJ (Swedish railway). They are being withdrawn in a few years as the new trains X60 are shipped, but they are seen in Pendeltåg services for time being.

X1は、スウェーデン国鉄(SJ)初の本格的な電車です。小さな窓やリブのある鋼鉄製車体から重厚感が感じられます。 1967年の登場以来ストックホルムの近郊電車・Pendeltåg(ペンデルトーグ)として用いられていますが、2005年に入りX60の投入により廃車が始まる模様です。
